Job Description
We are seeking an individual who is proactive, goal oriented, achievement driven, energetic, and charismatic to assist in the planning and execution of a range of business and public events. Working under the direction of the executive team, the Events Director is responsible for preparations and details of all events. The Events Director coordinates with assigned committees of volunteers to ensure the success of nearly 150 chamber events and programs annually.
Requirements
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Securing and growing major sponsorships and sponsor relationships
•Managing, motivating and training high-level volunteer committees
•Coordinating the efforts of multiple parties to ensure spectacular events
•Organizing and preparing an event plan
•Managing and preparing event budgets
•Arranging the details of each event including catering, equipment, A/V.
•Overseeing all event marketing and PR
•Preparing a post-event report, including sponsor appreciation efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Experience in event planning
•Fundraising/sales experience a plus
•Experience in developing and maintaining event budgets
•Excellent written/verbal communication skills
•Excellent self-management and organizational skills
•Advanced computer proficiency
•Social Media experience, content creation and management
•Exhibits good business savvy and professionalism
•Leadership and problem solving skills
•Bachelors degree (preferred) or equivalent experience in the field
