Job Description
• Act to support UHIN’s mission and to develop and maintain the trust of the community
• Ensure the development of effective data exchange standards by working with the healthcare community
• Staff UHIN Standards Subcommittees including: Technical and Change Management Subcommittees
• Identify and implement transactions which will increase transaction volume and meet users' needs
• Attends and staffs meetings with the Utah Department of Insurance, State Health Department, Health Data Authority and other State agencies for standards
• Attend conferences and provide presentations as requested on UHIN Standards as appropriate.
• Take lead responsibilities with national organization efforts such as ASC X12. Keep all stakeholders informed of national initiatives and progress
• Coordinate with UHIN staff as required for the development and maintenance of UHIN products and services
• This position may be required to manage EDI Analyst personnel
Requirements
Required
• Bachelors Degree in Business or Health Care and 5 years in the HealthCare Industry or 10 years in healthcare with increased responsibilities

Preferred
• Advanced knowledge of national standard formats
• Advanced knowledge of computer applications and systems
• Thorough knowledge of management principles
• Knowledge of group development and ability to use consensus for standard setting.
• Knowledge of processes improvement and development
