Job Summary
Cottonwood Residential, a national multi-family property management firm, is seeking a full-time Risk Management Programs Assistant. The individual will be responsible for supporting the Risk Manager with the coordination and administration of commercial and personal lines of insurance and other internally coordinate products.
The ideal candidate for this position is able to exercise good judgment and prioritize well. They should have a high degree of flexibility, operate effectively in a fast paced environment, and have the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time. The ability to build strong relationships with other departments is critical in order to accomplish tasks and achieve goals.

Accurately and in a timely manner input all client insurance certificate information into the tracking system.
Process policy changes, renewals and cancellations.
Handle claims and billing inquiries.
Set up and maintain project files.
Maintain progress report track all checklist reports and ensure staff is completing and submitting in timely manner.
Review and log documents as well as determine quality of completion.
Review, distribute, and act upon incoming departmental mail.
Prepare department correspondence, agendas and minutes.
Copy, collate and/or file documents.
May organize and maintain Risk Management policy, procedures & other manual(s) as needed.
Create and maintain information library.
Perform any other reasonably related job duties as required by the Risk Manager.
Skills
Ability to maintain accurate, detailed, comprehensive files as well as maintenance of documentation.
Must be able to type at least 50 wpm accurately.
Possess excellent problem-solving and organizational skills and be highly self-motivated.
Excellent computer skills, including strong working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
Demonst rated presentation skills including preparation and execution.
Strong organizational and time management skills a must.
Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to develop sound relationships with employees, clients, and vendors.
Ability to follow through on multiple work assignments simultaneously.
Pleasant and cooperative attitude with co-workers.
Insurance experience in commercial and/or personal helpful, but not required.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
