General Description:
• General warehouse duties; pick orders, unload containers, stock shelves/bins, sort inventory, palletize orders, label product, ship orders, count inventory, clean warehouse, pack orders, check orders, operate equipment (forklifts, reach trucks, stock pickers, pallet jacks, etc), QC product, QC orders, process various system transactions (receipts, shipping, inventory, stock movements, etc.) and assist in training of new employees.
Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Process all orders through RF handhelds, or manually as needed.
• Pack orders as needed.
• Process all orders through computer shipping systems, or manually as needed.
• Demonstrates efficient work methods and provides guidance and training to staff as required; instructs employees in the use of new equipment; develop employees understanding of safe work rules and conditions.
• May provide training in all areas affecting the daily operations of the warehouse.
• Ensure the shipping area is clear of all packages per shift.
• Maintains security of equipment, parts and materials.
• Keeps accurate records of materials or items received, shipped or distributed in accordance with established procedures.
• Demonstrates a sound knowledge of all distribution warehouse procedures.
• Unload sea containers as needed, sorting and organizing items as instructed.
• Ensure the accurate and timely put-a-way of all materials or items.
• Promotes attention to detail in every aspect.
• May assist management in development and implementation of policies and procedures.
• Maintains a clean, organized and safe work environment at all times.
• Prepares distribution reports, taking the initiative to gather the necessary data.
• Performs daily cycle counts and helps to manage good inventory practices.
• Actively participates in the annual physical inventory as needed.
• Re-label product as needed.
• Unload or load trucks as needed.
• Demonstrate professionalism in every task performed every day.
• Safely operate power equipment (forklifts, reach trucks, stock pickers, etc).
• Familiarize self with MIL-STD-105E inspection techniques.
• Utilize MIL-STD-105E to inspect all products for compliance with company specs.
• Process stock movements, both systematically and physically as needed.
• Assist in researching and correcting root causes for any and all problems or mistakes.
• Assist DC management in controlling all costs.
• Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Education Requirements:
• Training and experience equivalent to 1-3 years in warehouse operations and inventory control.
• High School diploma, GED or equivalent work related experience.
• Able to perform at acceptable levels within a warehouse environment; temperature changes (hot and cold), physical labor; able to lift 60 pounds continuously for an 8-12 hour shift, constant twisting, bending, lifting – ability to adjust to rapid change
• Have a strong work ethic.
• Computer experience and knowledge preferred.
• Good math skills a must.
• Advanced verbal, writing and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to perform well in multi-task and time sensitive situations.
• Ability to follow verbal and written procedures, pay attention to detail and work unsupervised.
• Ability to effectively schedule priorities.
• Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
• Ability to speak and read English.

• Maintain positive, respectful relationship with employees and customers.
