Job Description
This position is responsible for repairing damaged bodies and body parts of vehicles according to repair manual, and/or customer specification by using hand and power tools.
RESPONSIBILITILES:
Examine damaged vehicles and estimate cost of repair.
Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window and seat operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle body and fenders.
Position dolly block against surface of dented area and hammer opposite surface to remove dents. Fill depressions with body filler using appropriate applicator.
Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills, using wrenches and cutting torch, and bolt or weld replacement parts in position with appropriate welding equipment. Repair fiberglass panels and parts.
Properly handle, apply, and dispose of any surface coatings as directed and defined in federal, state or local regulations.
Operate grinder, buffer, dual action sander, and miscellaneous hand and power tools to perform body repair work on damaged areas.
Using appropriate frame equipment, determine measurements required to repair frame-damaged vehicles. Straighten, pull and repair bent automobile frames with pneumatic frame straightening machine.
Refinish repaired surfaces by painting them using paint spray gun and sander.
Aim headlights, align wheels, and bleed hydraulic brake system. Repair or replace defective mechanical parts.
Maintain clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and Golden Glow policies.
Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
1 year of customer service experience preferred.
3+ years of experience in all levels of collision repair.
Frame repair experience.
I-Car and ASE certification.
Valid Respirator Fit Test Certificate required.
Valid drivers license and safe driving record required.
Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Effective verbal communication and customer service skills.
Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
Exhibit strong leadership skills.
Must have your own tools.
Basic computer skills preferred.
Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. (e.g. tools, equipment, etc.)
Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Frequent exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals. Moderate noise level.
