Job Description
Core skill set:
- Coding
-- Understanding of object-oriented programming
-- Experience using MVC (Symphony/Rails or similar)
- SQL
-- Query writing (using WHERE, JOIN, LIMIT, etc.)
-- Understanding of query optimization, indexes, etc.
- Server configuration (Linux)
-- Apache (multiple vhosts)
- Core web development skills: (HTML/CSS/Javascript: JQuery, AJAX, JSON)
- Experienced using version control (Preferably Git)
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Applicants with experience in these areas will be given extra consideration: Magento, Ruby, MongoDB, online payment gateway integration, API integrations, cURL, regular expressions, automated testing, image manipulation, Fireworks/Photoshop, site design
