Job Description
Cranium Cafe is a software company dedicated to improving communications between students and teachers. We are looking for skilled beginner programmers that are driven to learn new technologies and languages within a progressive company. Cranium Cafe will be holding intern interviews the week of November 19, 2012.

This is a 2 month paid internship with potential for a full time position with Cranium Cafe, LLC.

We are seeking programmers with stellar critical thinking and time management skills. Candidates must be detail-oriented and possess the ability to multitask, prioritize work assignments, communicate effectively with staff and clients (if needed), and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner. Must have strong analysis, problem solving and troubleshooting skills. An insatiable curiosity for technology and learning new software languages a major plus.
Requirements
Responsibilities:

Prototype new features and enhancements
Assist in the development and maintainence of the Cranium Cafe communications platform
Focus on system performance and ensure code is scalable to high levels of usage
Skills, Experience, and/or Interested In Learning:

Java (Grails Framework)
Adobe Flex & Actionscript
PHP (Zend Framework)
jQuery/Javascript
Linux Setup, Scripting & Administration
git & gitHub
Apache, MySQL, PHP
AWS/Amazon Cloud Services

Must be available at least 12 hours a week
- Telecommuting may be approved
