Job Description
Hi, my name is Colby Dustin and I am the Enterprise Risk Manager for the Bank of Utah. Bank of Utah is one of Utah's largest community banks. At Bank of Utah we take pride in the fact that we know our customer names and they know ours!





We are currently looking for a Lending Compliance officer that can assist in the management of all aspects of compliance at the Bank, including commercial, mortgage, and consumer lending. This person will ensure that the bank is in compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations; and will assist the Bank CRA Officer in managing our CRA program.





To qualify for this position you must have:
A Bachelor's degree in an applicable field; or an equivalent amount of compliance experience
At least 10 years in a bank lending and/or mortgage compliance environment
An extensive knowledge of state and federal banking regulations related to lending functions
An ability to research technical guidance and come to supportable conclusions
An ability to communicate and implement highly technical regulations to personnel with varying degrees of experience and understanding verbally and in written form
Requirements
This position requires you to:




Manage the lending compliance program, including all mortgage, commercial, and consumer lending


Develop, revise, and maintain compliance policy; and, develop, revise and maintain corresponding procedures to address lending compliance risks that will integrate into department workflows


Disseminate in an understandable manner new compliance regulations to affected business units


Be an in-house expert to provide compliance advice and guidance to bank and mortgage personnel; and, be able to answer any compliance related questions


Monitor and track lending compliance in the Bank and report findings to the executive management of the Bank


Facilitate regulatory examinations as they occur and as they relate to lending and CRA


Develop and disseminate formal compliance training presentations to applicable bank and mortgage employees


Work with Marketing to review and approve advertising materials for compliance with applicable lending regulations


Support the bank CRA officer by maintaining the CRA public file, assessment area maps, and customer complaint file, etc.
