Job Description
The Systems Engineer position will be responsible to maintain uptime requirements for BidSync’s 24/7 Software as a Service (SaaS) applications; BidSync eProcure and BidSync Links+ products. The ideal candidate should be fluent in supporting highly available web infrastructure as well as working collaboratively with software development to perform provisioning for a staging and development infrastructure.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support of the BidSync user base of desktop and IT infrastructure
• Manage data communication networks, voice communication networks, computer systems administration, desktop support, security, software, hardware, virtual machines, backup & recovery, monitoring, business continuity, and systems design.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum of 5+ years experience with maintaining a highly available production infrastructure
• Minimum of 5+ years experience with supporting desktops and servers within an IT organization of 75+ employees
• Experience with server-class, Intel-based computer hardware
• Redhat and CentOS Linux
• Windows Server, Windows Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange
• Network hardware
• VOIP
• Server Virtualization
• Web and web application servers (i.e. Apache/Tomcat, Glassfish)
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Self-directed, logical, organized, efficient and creative problem solving
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work well within a team environment
• Occasional after hours support required
• Limited travel required
• Must be able to lift up to 60lbs
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Experience with configuration management tools (Salt, Puppet, Chef)
• Experience with public cloud infrastructure (Amazon EC2, Rackspace OpenStack)
• Storage administration (SAN, NAS)
