PURPOSE OF POSITION

Join a growing team of software test professionals in a fantastic work environment that values creative problem solving and highly self-motivated people. We run lean and mean and are looking for a Test Engineer that thrives in the deep end of the pool. Automation experience is highly desired, as long as it's not just record-and-playback.

Work with team members including requirements, development and other test engineers to deliver high quality eCommerce applications. You will create test plans from functional requirements and craft elegant automated tests alongside development using Selenium and Groovy based tools to spank the bugs out of the system!

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create test plans from functional requirements.
• Create, execute, maintain and analyze automated tests.
• Report defect findings and re-test fixes.
• Participate in requirements reviews and daily project collaborations (scrum methodology).
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Estimate testing efforts and provide status updates.
• Support and smoke test new releases on a rotation with other team members.
• Manual testing as needed.
• Potential to contribute to performance testing efforts.
• Ensure a high quality product is delivered to the customer.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS/BA/MS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of black- and white-box software testing, both front-end and backend with an emphasis on web applications.
• 3+ years of test automation or software development with demonstrated proficiency in Java, C/C++, Groovy or similar language.
• Demonstrated proficiency in SQL.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Fast learner, self-motivated and creative problem solver.
• Work well in team settings; able communicator both written and verbal.
• Able to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance.
