Job Description
Butler Arms USA seeks to hire a Buyer/Planner who will plan, purchase and coordinate inventory related to manufactured component parts, raw materials and OEM products to support multiple firearms manufacturing product lines. This person will be highly motivated, very organized and will enjoy a fast-paced environment with many opportunities for growth.
Essential Functions:
• Coordinates purchase order placement, release and revision
• Optimizes inventory levels while maintaining plant productivity
• Purchases materials, services and supplies from vendors
• Expedites, follows up and manages purchase orders placed with suppliers
• Establishes supermarkets and Kanbans
• Processes supplier returns
• Negotiates supply agreements with suppliers
• Maintains overall effectiveness of the supply chain
• Identifies cost reduction and continuous improvement opportunities
• Performs other duties as assigned by management
Education and Experience:
Associates or Bachelors Degree; or equivalent experience is required

• Vendor research skills
• Ability to write reports, memos, email, and business correspondence clearly and effectively
• Ability to present information and respond effectively to questions from groups of employees and/or suppliers
• Strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience within the firearms industry
• Experience with ERP systems
Minimum Qualifications:
