Job Description
Academy Mortgage Corporation is seeking a well-qualified Agile Engineer to join our dynamic corporate IT team in Sandy, Utah.
Role
As an Agile Engineer at Academy Mortgage, you will be a member of a Delivery Team who uses Agile to continuously deliver high-quality software to the business. Your team will responsible for designing, testing, developing and deploying enterprise software applications. Your team may also be responsible for customizing, administrating and providing tier3 support for off-the-shelf enterprise applications. As a member of this team, you are expected to understand and follow Agile principles and practices. You are expected to implement enterprise-level object-oriented design patterns, and use continuous delivery principles and practices to deliver high-quality software frequently.
Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience using Microsoft development tools and technologies: Visual Studio, .NET Framework and programming in C#. Additional consideration will be given to a candidate with experience administrating or developing on SharePoint, ServiceNow or Chef platforms.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
• Program new code and maintain existing code with a focus on using automated testing
• Administrate, maintain and customize existing enterprise applications
• Participate in application design, business needs assessment and acceptance criteria
• Provide technical advice and counsel to the business and management
• Deliver technical solutions to generic business problems on a proactive basis

• Experience with tools and technologies for designing, developing, testing, configuring and deploying software (e.g. Visual Studio, Mercurial, Mingle, Cucumber, NUnit, WebDriver, Twist, Rhino Mocks, Windsor, Cruise Control, Go, Hudson, Puppet, Chef)
• Experience successfully understanding and soliciting requirements through conversations with non-technical internal customers; ability to translate complex technical issues to a non-technical audience and investigate end-user concerns and questions regarding data
• Must be self-motivated and possess excellent communication skills, including strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience with tools and technologies for designing, developing, testing, configuring and deploying software (e.g. Visual Studio, Mercurial, Mingle, Cucumber, NUnit, WebDriver, Twist, Rhino Mocks, Windsor, Cruise Control, Go, Hudson, Puppet, Chef)
