Job Description
The Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce is now hiring for the position of Communications Director.



Compensation: $10/part-time (20-30 hrs per wk)



Description: Ideally the Communications Director for the Utah Valley Chamber will be a proactive and energetic person, looking to progress with the Chamber as we strive to make Utah Valley a better place to work, live and play. Working under the direction of the executive team, the Communications Director is responsible for Chamber communications and public relations activities.
Requirements
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Chief Editor of Publications
Internet content maintenance-managing the tech team to ensure that the website is always up to date and relevant (ie. Website, blog, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn)
Drafting Chamber communications, including promotional emails, press releases and policy statements
Coordination of media coverage for Chamber events and announcements
Script writing for events and the Executive Team as they host and introduce the chamber at events
Working with the policy focus committee of the Chamber, the Government Review Council, to coordinate meeting and draft initiative


QUALIFICATIONS:

· Excellent written/verbal communication skills
Experience in communications, PR and marketing
Advanced computer proficiency
Social Media experience, content creation and management
