Job Description
Responsibilities:
1. Perform mixing of resin components and formulations in accordance with test matrices and mix instructions.
2. Prepare samples for testing using established laboratory techniques.
3. Perform basic chemical and physical tests on experimental resin formulations using standard laboratory methods as well as specialized test instrumentation.
4. Generate detailed documentation of work efforts including: experiments, procedures, test results and observations.
Requirements
Position Requirements:
1. Self-motivated to perform assigned tasks and responsibilities.
2. Work well with the team including ensuring good verbal and written communication.
3. Hands-on aptitude for working in a chemistry lab.
4. Ability to understand and follow technical instructions including learning to perform specified tests and run specialized test instruments.
5. Must maintain focus with aptitude for ensuring attention to details to ensure safety, accuracy of work, and documentation of results.
6. Work cooperatively with other departments as needed.
7. Good computer skills with general competency to use word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
8. 1-2 years college with some emphasis in chemistry.
