OUR MISSION To prepare children to become self-reliant, productive individuals; teach them to think, speak, and write with clarity, precision, and independence; lead them to recognize and value their individuality and unalienable rights; and inspire them to embrace challenge and find joy and self-worth through achievement. In 1963, Challenger School began in a one-room school in San Jose, California with 11 preschoolers. Over 50 years later, Challenger School:
Flourishes with 24 campuses in five states (CA, ID, NV, TX, UT).
Teaches over 10,000 students annually (preschool - 8th grade).
    Employs over 1,100 people.
Challenger teaches students from an early age to master bedrock academic subjects (i.e., reading, composition, math, and history). Via a curriculum and setting that require critical thinking and clear expression, Challenger leads students to develop rational-thinking skills and confidence in their own judgment. The average Challenger student scores well above the 90th percentile on standardized national tests. Challenger continues to grow in its various markets and is poised to accelerate its growth in an effort to lead even more students to gain a solid academic foundation and find joy in achievement. Therefore, Challenger is always seeking and hiring exceptional individuals to sustain its noble mission. Challenger School is an independent private school and accepts neither government monies nor private donations.
