Brooke Erickson, Friend: "I was shocked. I didn't believe it, cause it didn't seem like she'd do that."

A startling sex crime in Sandy, a 54-year old woman is accused of sexually assaulting two 16-year old boys.

One of the victims is a friend of the woman's daughter. He told police she drugged him and then raped him.

Police issued a warrant for her arrest yesterday when they couldn't find her. A few hours ago she made arrangements to turn herself in.

Friends of Kathy English had no idea about this investigation and were speechless when first told about the accusations.

English lives with her 16-year old daughter and neighbors say there are a lot of teenagers at their home.

But they never suspected anything like this.

Kathy English was like a second mom to 18-year old Brooke Erickson.

Brooke Erickson, Friend: "I was there constantly. It was like another house to me."

Brooke's mother only has kind words for the woman.

Barbara Erickson, Friend: "She's the kindest, most loving person. I just love her."

Erickson just saw her neighbor last week shoveling snow. She says they made plans to get together.

Barbara Erickson: "She did say that there were things that frustrated her, but she didn't go into detail about that sort of thing…She seemed fine like she was just doing great."

Close friends had no idea English was at the center of a police investigation. Police say on November 15th of 2005 the teenage victim was alone with English at her house. The teenage victim, who is friends with English's daughter, told police the woman gave him valium.

Sgt. Victor Quezada, Sandy Police Department: "At that time Ms. English presented herself to this young man. He told her, 'no', and the sexual act occurred at this time."

The teen told police he saw English sexually assault another 16-year old boy in her home, on a different occasion. One of the teens told authorities what happened several months later. Police say they have DNA evidence to support the teens' stories.

Taunia Lombardie, Friend: "I was really shocked. She's been a neighbor for years. Our girls have grown up together."

A judge issued an arrest warrant when investigators couldn't find English at her home yesterday. Still, friends are trying not to judge.

Barbara Erickson: "Probably there's more to the story. There's always another side, it seems."

Again, police say English has made arrangements to turn herself in tomorrow.

They say it is possible there are other victims.

Police say that one of the teenagers actually kept an article of clothing from the incident. They were able to send it in for tests and they say they do have enough DNA evidence from that piece of clothing to allow them to pursue the charges.
