DADDINGTON STATION — A supercut of a dad going “Huh?” is a funny yet perfect tribute to fathers who show up and participate in family life.

At first blush, a dad saying “huh” a dozen times is funny. In fact, it get’s funnier with every “huh.” But if you take a moment, you’ll see a dad (who may or may not need to get his hearing checked) doing just what a good dad does.

In every clip, this Missouri dad is with his family, shopping, talking, helping, and otherwise participating in family life. Let’s face it, if you’re lucky, these actions resemble your dad. But if you’re extra, extra lucky, your dad is also a bit of a doofus who’s easy to tease.

So, ladies and gentlemen, I submit that Huh Dad is the super dad that we can hold up as our hero this fine Father’s Day. He may not be the hero we deserve, but he’s definitely the hero we need.

The only thing we need to know now is if our new hero has a strong “dad joke” game. I can almost hear his bad puns and that specific dad giggle that comes from dads who think they’re funny. (And even if we hate to admit it, they usually are pretty funny.)

To all the fathers, grandfathers, brothers, uncles, neighbors, teachers, and anyone who we’ve looked up to as father figures, Happy Father’s Day!
