Giant rubber band attacks runner, loses race
Ireland's Aengus Meldon lost a race in crazy fashion this week, and it's a lesson to us all to always expect the unexpected.
Running in first place, a giant rubber band from the pole vault apparatus landed on Meldon in the home stretch. Suddenly, his legs were tied up, and Meldon didn't finish the race in first.
Luckily, officials decided that Meldon could qualify for the finals anyway.
Cavs rookie dresses as world's tallest Oompa Loompa
Ah, rookie hazing. Cleveland Cavaliers veteran and former Utah Jazz player Richard Jefferson made Cavs rookie Kay Felder dress up as an Oompa Loompa as he entered the locker room for the team's final game before the All-Star break. Naturally, Jefferson posted the video to Snapchat.
Trump not filling out a bracket on ESPN
For the last eight years, Barack Obama has gone on ESPN in March to fill out a March Madness bracket for both the mens and the womens NCAA College Basketball championships. That tradition is over, as ESPN announced Donald Trump declined their invitation to do the same.
"We expressed our interest to the White House in continuing the presidential bracket. They have respectfully declined," an ESPN spokesman told the Washington Post.
