SALT LAKE CITY — The groundbreaking ceremony for the Golden State Warriors’ new arena was spectacular, and infamous LeBron James hater Skip Bayless buys LeBron shoes. More fun stories from the world of sports in today’s From Left Field.

Acrobats and synchronized dancing cranes highlight groundbreaking ceremony for Golden State Warriors’ new arena

The Golden State Warriors are in the middle of a golden era. The franchise is currently record-wise the best team in the NBA, they have stars in Steph Curry and Kevin Durant, and soon will have new state of the art arena in San Francisco.

At the Chase Center groundbreaking ceremony, things got started in a very loud, dramatic and fun way.

The ceremony kicked off with acrobats dressed as construction workers, bouncing around on trampolines. Later, workers operated the construction cranes to perform synchronized moves. Lastly, the acrobats performed an aerial silk routine.

Epic.

If the groundbreaking ceremony was this epic, imagine what the grand opening ceremony will be like when Chase Center opens in 2019.

Infamous LeBron James hater Skip Bayless buys LeBron shoes

Fox Sports’ Skip Bayless is notoriously known for his hot takes and no-nonsense, unapologetic statements.

If you’ve seen him on his new show “Undisputed” or his former show “First Take,” you know that Bayless is not a fan of Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James. Skip is never afraid to tell someone how he thinks James is not as great as most believe he is.

On Tuesday, Complex Magazine premiered a new episode of their popular “Sneaker Shopping” series, with Bayless as the guest.

Host Joe La Puma talked to Bayless about Michael Jordan, Air Jordan shoes and, of course, LeBron James.

Bayless didn’t waste time bashing King James when comparing him to Jordan (at 3:32).

“LeBron doesn’t belong in the same sentence with M.J.,” he said.

When he saw a Nike LeBron 11 shoe he liked, Bayless praised the color and style of the shoe.

But in typical Skip Bayless style, he couldn’t help rip James despite just having praised the man’s shoe.

“I wouldn’t want to attempt a late clutch shot in these shoes because you’d probably miss it,” Bayless said. When La Puma asked why, Bayless said, “Because the guy whose signature is on here has missed too many of those.”

Despite his many years of disliking James, Bayless couldn't resist not picking up a pair of LeBron's elegant shoes along with two pairs of Jordan Future shoes.

“I got to have these LeBrons,” Bayless said. “Every once in a while, I love me some LeBron — not very often. But I got to have these shoes.”

Oh, Skip. Your love-hate relationship with LeBron James is truly entertaining.

They are nice shoes, though. Bayless needs to stop hating on James, but at least Skip loves LeBron's blue suede shoes.
