KAYSVILLE — James Pembroke ran for a touchdown and threw for another to help Class 4A Highland beat 5A Davis, 28-17 on Thursday night.

After Haden Grange opened the scoring to give the Darts a 7-0 lead, Pembroke responded six minutes later with a TD strike to Elijah Shelton, and the Darts took a 14-10 halftime lead on Trayton Keyes’ 37-yard interception return for a touchdown.

Ryan Lindberg’s defensive touchdown brought the Darts (6-2) within 21-17 early in the fourth quarter. But Brady Reed’s 5-yard score with 2:09 left in the game helped the Rams move to 6-1 on the season.
