FAIRVIEW, Sanpete County — An Orem man died from his injuries after his truck rolled off U.S. 89 in central Utah earlier this month, police say.
Kenny Bagley, 32, was northbound on U.S. 89 on Sept. 15 when his Ford F-150 drifted off the left of the roadway and down an embankment, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
Bagley was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown about 45 feet from his vehicle, the agency said.
"He received significant head trauma, as well as other internal injuries when he hit the road," the UHP said.
Bagley was transported to Sanpete Valley Hospital and later airlifted to a trauma center. He died from his injuries two days later.
The cause for the crash is unknown, the UHP reported Monday. Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors. A witness also told investigators that Bagley was driving at approximately the speed limit at the time of the crash.
