THE ART ROOM — Just like most other kids on planet Earth, I wanted to draw for a living growing up.
As a kid, I'd sit down and sketch in my notebook all day long, making all kinds of monsters, vehicles, and trying to replicate cartoon characters freehand. Then one day I had a realization: I stunk. Like, really bad. So that dream was crushed, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate when someone else is living my dream.
Artist David Bayo said this piece took him 90 hours and more than a million dots. Watching this is mesmerizing as you realize the skill and attention to detail it takes. I'm also floored by the patience of Bayo to pull something like this off. I barely have the attention span to finish this senten... Did you know cats sleep 16 to 18 hours a day? That's the life.
Anyway, as I was saying, this work of art is beautiful and the craftsmanship that went into it is inspiring. Check out the video. It's worth your time.
