TAYLORSVILLE — Top-ranked Bear River scored on back-to-back squeeze bunts in the fourth inning to rally past Juab, 2-1 in the winner’s bracket final of the Class 3A state softball tournament at Valley Complex.

Kapri Toone bunted to score Kylie Larkin, and Sydni Sorenson followed with a near-identical squeeze to drive in Brenna Hick on the next batter to give the Bears all the scoring they would need to move into Saturday’s state championship game at 11 a.m. MT.

Kaitlyn Sperry drove in Kloie Park on a sacrifice fly to give the Wasps a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth, but it was all the scoring Juab would get.
