BOUNTIFUL — A gas leak in Bountiful caused Main Street to close for a short time Monday afternoon, officials said.
The street was closed between 100 North and 100 South for about 45 minutes, according to South Davis Metro Fire Agency.
Crews shut off the gas, and nearby businesses were evacuated, Bountiful police said.
South Davis Metro Fire Agency said they checked businesses for air quality.
It is currently unknown whether the leak caused injuries. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
Main Street is now open. Some businesses may still be closed.
