TOOELE — The Utah Highway Patrol reported Saturday that a gray SUV was traveling eastbound on I-80 at mile marker 74 about 5 p.m. when the vehicle drifted to the left onto the dirt shoulder.
Officials said the driver then overcorrected, forcing the vehicle to roll off the roadway. The vehicle overturned several times ejecting the female driver. Officials said Huong Tran Ngo, 67, of Roy died at the scene from injuries she sustained in the crash.
Investigators are looking into whether she was wearing her seat belt properly.
