PRESTON, Idaho — A Utah man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Preston, Idaho, on Saturday afternoon.
At about 1:30 p.m., Brock Bitton, 36, of Logan was driving a Mitsubishi Galant southbound at the intersection of W 2000 S and State St. in Preston when his car crossed over the divider and struck a Ford Fusion heading northbound, according to Idaho State Police.
Bitton succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash. Next of kin has been notified, according to police.
The driver of the Ford Fusion, 32-year-old Marie Mitchell of Lewiston, Cache County, was transported by ambulance to Logan Regional Hospital. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
The road where the incident occurred was blocked for approximately four hours.
Idaho State Police said the investigation is ongoing with assistance from Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
