THE BEEHIVE STATE — Every state in our nation has its own unique symbols that represent its identity and a sense of pride.
With over 25 official state symbols, Utah has many items to represent it.
Many of Utah's state symbols are connected to the state's pioneer heritage. Some symbols are very well known and obvious — like the state insect, the honey bee — while some symbols are unfamiliar to most Utahns.
Did you know that Utah has a state folk dance (the square dance) and a state star (Dubhe)?
