LOGAN, Utah (AP) — Jalen Moore scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds, Chris Smith scored 10 with 11 rebounds, and Utah State beat Division II Union (Tenn.) 73-49 on Friday night.
The Aggies (3-0) never trailed and scored 20 points off turnovers against the Bulldogs, who played the game as an exhibition match.
Moore opened the second half with a jumper to kick off a 7-2 run and the Aggies led by 33 with 13:58 left.
Julion Pearre's 3-pointer sparked a 15-5 run, and then the Aggies surged on a 17-2 run to lead 38-14 at halftime. Moore scored 10 points in the half and Smith grabbed 10 rebounds.
Utah State scored 34 points in the paint and used 20 assists to score 28 of 62 field goals. Elston Jones grabbed nine rebounds for the Aggies.
Marterrace Brock led Union with 15 points, Roy Bullock added 12 and Serigne Mboup grabbed 12 rebounds.
