SALT LAKE CITY — It's time to fill your pockets with parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme, because we're heading to "Scarborough Fair."

Local violinist and Grammy-nominated artist, Jenny Oaks Baker, released a new video covering Simon and Garfunkel's dulcet folk hit. The video takes us on a tour during a stormy day at the Maryland Renaissance Festival, showing costumed participants jousting, swallowing swords and otherwise participating in the fair.

Baker herself is dressed to the nines in appropriate garb, but it's not the fair or her clothes that star in the video. Baker's skills shine as she plays the song, creating a sweet and ethereal tone for the video.

This type of skilled performance is no surprise from Baker, a Utah native and Salt Lake resident. She's well-known in Utah — perhaps mostly for her albums related to music associated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints — but she has a wider experience and exposure as well.

She was nominated for a Grammy, hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts and graduated with a master of music from the famous The Juilliard School in New York City, according to her website. She's also performed in venues like Carnegie Hall and collaborated with artists like Gladys Knight, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Utah's own Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

The video was released in connection with her new album, "Classic: The Rock Album," where Baker also covers songs like Guns n' Roses' "Sweet Child O' Mine" and The Who's "Pinball Wizard." This videos has over 50,000 views, and you can watch more videos from Baker on her YouTube channel here.
