SALT LAKE CITY — A Clearfield woman who embezzled nearly $900,000 from two companies for which she worked is headed to prison.

Teri Ann Jarvis, 41, admitted in federal court that she stole $846,738 from Positive Power LLC, an Ogden electrical services contractor, and $43,958 from Bronco Fence Company in Kaysville.

At Positive Power, Jarvis helped manage bank accounts, credit cards, collectables, payables and other financial records from October 2006 to September 2013. During that time she forged checks made payable to herself and to pay her mortgage, car payment and personal credit card payment.

Jarvis worked at Bronco Fence for about eight months in 2014 and gave false refund information to the merchant services company and transferred the refunds to her personal bank account.

Jarvis this week pleaded guilty to mail fraud, wire fraud and aggravated identity theft. U.S. District Judge Dale Kimball sentenced her to 42 months in prison starting January 2016.
