BYU senior quarterback Taysom Hill on Thursday received his third national award nomination of the preseason, as one of 24 QBs named to the watch list for the Davey O'Brien Award, given annually to the best quarterback in college football.

Backfield partner Jamaal Williams also received watch-list recognition, as one of 69 running backs nominated for the Doak Walker Award, presented to the nation's premier running back.

Hill has accumulated more than 2,000 rushing yards and 4,000-plus passing yards during his BYU career; he owns all of BYU's QB career rushing marks. With 6,478 yards in total offense, he is just outside of the BYU career top ten in that category, and needs only 2,339 combined pass/rush yards to enter the top five.

Williams enters the 2015 season in sixth place on the Cougars' all-time rushing yardage list (2,527 yards), and needs 930 rushing yards to become BYU's all-time leading ground-gainer. His nine games with 100-plus rushing yards rank 6th all-time at BYU.
