SALT LAKE CITY — Washington Nationals right fielder Bryce Harper will show off almost everything in the 2015 version of ESPN The Magazine’s Body Issue.

“I’ve always wanted to do the Body Issue," Harper said in an interview with ESPN’s Stacey Pressman. "My body feels pretty unbelievable.”

The Body Issue is a tribute to athletes and their bodies.

“The ability to capture both the strength and vulnerability of these extraordinary athletes through such powerful images and introspective interviews is incredibly moving," said ESPN The Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Chad Millman said in a prepared statement.

Along with Harper, the Body Issue highlights 23 additional professional male and female athletes including:

  • Odell Beckham Jr. (football)
  • Kevin Love (basketball)
  • DeAndre Jordan (basketball)
  • Brittney Griner (basketball)
  • Ali Krieger (soccer)
  • Natalie Coughlin (swimming)
  • Aly Raisman (gymnastics)
  • Stan Wawrinka (tennis)
  • Tyler Seguin (hockey)
  • Laird Hamilton (surfing) and wife Gabby Reece (volleyball)

“One of the things I love about the Body Issue so much is that it celebrates the bodies that allow us to be successful in our sport,” said Coughlin in a prepared statement. “As a sports fan, I love seeing the differences in body types.”

The Body Issue of ESPN The Magazine will be available online July 6 and on newsstands July 10. An interview and some of the photos of Bryce Harper can be found at ESPN.
