SALT LAKE CITY — Two sisters from Oakridge Elementary in the Granite School district were given the "Granite Gives Back" award Wednesday, April 22, 2015, by Granite Education Foundation CEO Brent Severe.

For the last three years on their birthday, Indy and Willa DeBirk give to others. Instead of a birthday party with gifts for them, the girls ask their guests to bring something for someone else.

This year they chose to help the Utah Refugee Center. They collected and donated items for refugee families in Utah.
