BYU head basketball coach Dave Rose announced Monday evening that sophomore guard Frank Bartley IV and freshman forward Isaac Neilson will transfer from the BYU basketball program.

"I appreciate all the contributions Frank and Isaac made to our program," Rose said. "We wish them both the very best going forward."

In two seasons with the Cougars, Bartley played in 67 games and averaged 3.2 points, while playing 10.1 minutes per contest. Bartley saw his points, rebounds and field-goal percentage all decrease from his freshman season, while his turnovers increased.

The 6-foot-11 Neilson redshirted during the 2013-14 season and averaged 3.1 points and 2.4 rebounds per game this past year, which included starting five of BYU's 34 games.

With Bartley and Neilson transferring, Dalton Nixon, Ryan Andrus and Luke Worthington leaving on LDS Church missions, and four senior players (Tyler Haws, Anson Winder, Josh Sharp and Skylar Halford) moving on, the Cougars are losing at least nine players from the 2014-15 roster.
