SALT LAKE CITY — Police were looking Monday for a pair of men who stabbed a person at a club over the weekend and then fired shots outside a second club.

Just before 2 a.m. Saturday, Salt Lake police say two men were denied entry into the Moose Lounge, 180 W. 400 South.

"A fight broke out between the group and bar security and the victim was stabbed in the back with a knife," a police report states. The victim, who was working security at the bar, was treated at a local hospital for a minor cut to his lower back.

Less than 10 minutes later, officers were called to the parking lot of Golden Trials, 921 S. 300 West, where two people had been asked to leave the club by security.

"As they drove away, security heard three gunshots coming from the suspect’s vehicle," the report states.

The men in that incident matched the descriptions of the men at the Moose Lounge, according to police. No one was injured in the shooting.

Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to call police at 801-799-3000.
