SALT LAKE CITY — The news is the backbone of society, the fourth estate, the watchdog, the last angry person, the other cliché about the news.

We at KSL, Deseret News, KSL.com and KSL Radio, which are all in the same newsroom at the Triad Center, have worked hard to bring the news into your houses for years.

You know the studio for KSL News with Deanie Wimmer, Dave McCann and Mike Headrick. You’ve heard Doug Wright bring you all the latest breaking news with politically charged banter and the biggest names from around the state.

Now we are giving you a chance to see behind the scenes of how we get the news to you in your living rooms, kitchens, while you're driving in your cars and even while you are in the bathroom.

Just as you need to keep your electronics charged we at the Triad Center need to keep our electronics running. Luckily, we have the magic power of outlets (though, unfortunately, not as magical as Snap Power's outlets).

Have you ever wondered what Doug Wright uses to charge his iPad Mini? Or how many different plugs we use to get our cameras powered up and sending signals? Whether or not we have an outlet on a giant wall that has our company slogan on it? Or maybe you just want to find out our general opinions on the most important set of receptacles in the world?

Then look no further, check out this wonderful collection of photos for April 1 that took literally almost 15 minutes to put together.
