When looking to make a healthy change, one group of women didn't turn to a personal trainer, they turned to each other. Together they crafted the “Amazing Fitness Challenge.” Over the span of 12 weeks each participant is in charge of setting four personal goals, keeping track of their calorie intake six days a week and exercising five days a week. What makes this particular journey unique is the challenges that change every week. They include meditating for 10 minutes a day, drinking 64 ounces of water a day, getting five servings of fruits and vegetables, only one hour of television a day, getting eight hours of sleep, keeping a gratitude journal and no sugar.

In all, 23 people paid $20 to participate and bonded together on Facebook as they tackled each week, one at a time. Each challenger was responsible for tracking points, and prizes were handed out each week with a grand prize awarded at the end. The biggest reward, they say, is having a sense of accomplishment while facing the various challenges head on as a team.

Watch the video to meet these women and hear more on what their personal struggles were in those 12 weeks.
