DRAPER — Police are looking for a vehicle that swerved into a family of six walking along Pony Express Rd. in Draper Friday night, colliding with a father pushing a stroller.

The accident occurred at about 8:30 p.m. at 13000 S. Pony Express Rd., according to Draper City Police Sgt. Kevin Newman.

The 3-year-old in the stroller was not injured, but the father was taken to an area hospital with a possible broken leg. The vehicle — described as a 2000 or later dark grey or black sedan, "Malibu-style" vehicle with Utah Park plates — was last seen travelling southbound on Pony Express Rd. with front-end damage and a broken passenger-side mirror, according to Newman.

“The vehicle that struck (the father) would have had to leave the lane of travel and struck them on the shoulder,” said Newman.

Newman also added that the family was wearing typical clothing that was slightly darker and had no lights to identify them, and the area in question is a darker area of the roadway. The road is straight and there were no inclement conditions, Newman said.

The investigation is ongoing. If you see the vehicle or have any information relating to the incident, please contact the Draper City Police Dept. at 801-576-6500.
