MIDVALE — Police said they believe the man who crashed his car into a freeway barrier Wednesday was impaired.
After the crash, the man got out of his vehicle and jumped over a barrier on I-15 near 7100 South at about 11:30 a.m., according to the Utah Highway Patrol. Sgt. Todd Royce said Thursday that investigators believe the man was trying to flee the scene because of his impairment.
The man was in critical condition Wednesday after falling 20 feet onto concrete below the freeway.
