SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake County got just a light dusting of snow Saturday and highs in the 40s, while some ski resorts received as much as 9 inches of the white stuff, according to Ski Utah Snow Report.

A storm system expected to drop down from Canada Sunday and Monday, however, could dump up to 2 feet of snow in central and southern mountains, and 5 to 10 inches elsewhere in southern Utah, the National Weather Service reports.

Stormy conditions should taper off early Tuesday as the system moves out of the area.
