When police arrived, the man's nose "was nearly completely severed from his face, only remaining attached by a small piece of skin," according to the charges. The man told investigators that Parrish had "bit or chewed" through his nose.

Later, when detectives caught up with Parrish to question him, he claimed that the other man started the fight. He said he didn't remember biting the man's nose, but said "he was very intoxicated and used all force necessary to survive," the charges state

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 11.

According to court records, Parrish pleaded guilty to impaired driving in November, and he also has a current misdemeanor drug possession charge against him in another case.
