SALT LAKE CITY — What's your passion? Each Tuesday in January, KSL-TV has been sharing the stories of Utahns who have found their passion in life and a way to turn that passion into a business.

For the fourth and final installment of the series, KSL-TV features creator and owner of the Freshly Picked baby moccasins, Susan Petersen.

When Petersen's son was born, she wanted to find him a pair of moccasins, but was disappointed with her options on the market.

After teaching herself how to sew, she made a pair herself. She shared the shoes online then found a demand for her shoes. Soon Petersen needed more than the few bits of leather she had to keep up with the growing popularity.

Peterson realized that to buy more leather she needed to buy the entire hide, which cost $200. With a husband still in school and a young mother of two, she didn't have the money.

To see Petersen's creative idea to earn the money for her leather, and financial advice from an expert for practical steps necessary to follow your own dream, watch the video above.
