SALT LAKE CITY- The Utah Jazz have signed guard/forward Elijah Millsap to a multi-year deal, the team announced in a press release Sunday.

Millsap, who was previously with the team on a 10-day contract, started the season with the D-League's Bakersfield Jam. Since joining the Jazz on Jan. 5, he has averaged 5.7 points a game in 10 games with Utah.

Millsap, who is the younger brother of former Jazzman Paul Millsap, has made contributions to Utah's second unit, especially as the wing positions have been battered by injuries to Alec Burks and Rodney Hood.

Commenting on Millsap's contribution to the team, Jazz coach Quin Snyder said Saturday that Millsap's "been able to impact the game and help us, he's another guy on the team that I just want to see improve."

Per team policy, financial terms of the deal were not released.
