Gardner 'Quad Squad' arrives safe and healthy

Ashley and Tyson Gardner, parents of the Gardner Quad Squad, welcomed their four infant daughters into the world today at approximately 3 p.m. Indie, Esme, Scarlett and Evangeline arrived 12 weeks early, but the delivery went smoothly for both mother and babies.

Man shot, killed in confrontation with Tooele deputy

An armed military recruiter was shot and killed at his home early Sunday during a confrontation with a Tooele County sheriff's deputy.

About 4 a.m., the deputy and a UHP trooper saw that 28-year-old Nicholas McGehee had a shotgun. McGehee "came out of the house carrying a handgun, pointing it at the deputy. He was given verbal commands to put the gun down, and he didn't. (McGehee) raised the gun, aiming at the deputy, and the deputy shot him."

Crews suspend search for missing snowmobiler in Logan Canyon

Search and rescue crews suspended the search for a missing snowmobiler in Logan Canyon until 7:00 a.m. Monday morning.

Lawrence Orduno, 48, of Arizona, and Courtney Wood, 27, of Logan, began recreating in the Franklin Basin area of the canyon about 6 p.m. Saturday. The two became separated about 10 p.m. after Wood got stuck in deep snow.

Semitruck loses control, crashes on I-80

A semitruck pulling a box trailer westbound on I-80 lost control, crashed into a concrete barrier and caused two lanes of traffic to be shut down Sunday afternoon.

The semi went off the roadway, hit a concrete barrier, spilling the load into the median and left lane.

UHP car hit by suspected drunk driver

A Utah Highway Patrol car was hit by another car Saturday evening. Investigators believe alcohol is a factor in the crash.
