SALT LAKE CITY — The Philadelphia 76ers are the NBA’s equivalent of the Oakland Raiders these days.

Most of the time when opponents see Philadelphia on their schedule, they should expect a victory. Saturday was not different for the Utah Jazz, as the Jazz beat the 76ers, 88-71.

After taking a few days off for the Christmas holiday, Utah won its second consecutive game, beating the Eastern Conference’s worst team.

However, a win is a win, and there were a few quick observations from the Jazz victory.

The Jazz took a 25-12 first quarter lead, and never looked back.

Philadelphia’s three-point shooting is … rough

The 76ers shot 26 three-pointers, but made just five of those shots. That can be a bit of a problem.

Utah beats up Philadelphia in the paint, "Rocky"-style

The Utah Jazz won the battle for the paint, outscoring Philadelphia 52-30. Post players Derrick Favors and Trevor Booker combined for 31 points, and Enes Kanter also chipped in 10 points in the win.

The Jazz also outrebounded the 76ers, 55-44.
