CEDAR CITY — An armed man and a woman entered a Cedar City convenience store Friday and took an undisclosed amount of money. Now police want the public's help in identifying and locating them.

The robbery took place at about 6:30 a.m. at the Texaco fuel and convenience store at 1075 W. 200 North, according to the Cedar City Police Department.

Authorities said a man and woman entered the store together and walked around for about a minute before the woman left the store and the man approached the clerk.

The suspect demanded money and showed a knife handle, police said. After a short conversation the man left the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

The pair fled east on 200 North driving what a witness described as a small white Chevrolet pickup, single-cab, and possibly a model 1500. The Chevrolet logo was clearly visible on the tailgate.

Authorities said the woman was described as white, wearing a pink jacket and possibly gray leggings. She was also wearing a darker colored beanie underneath her hood.

The man was described as a possibly white male, 5-feet-10, and heavy-set. He was wearing black slacks and a black ski coat. He was also wearing a dark-colored beanie and a partial face mask.

The clerk described the male suspect as having black "poofy" hair that was pulled back into a bun or ponytail. He also described the man as having a darker complexion but had a red and blonde mustache and freckles around his eyes.

Any information about the identity or location of the suspects can be given to the police department at 435-586-2956.
