WEST JORDAN — Police were looking Wednesday for three men and one woman who they say invaded a home, shot a homeowner and stole a car at gunpoint.

The intruders entered a home near Georgia Drive and Mansfield Circle about 5 a.m. They then shot a 28-year-old man inside the home in the leg and fled, said West Jordan police officer Randy Anglesey. The man's injuries were not considered to be life threatening.

The victim knew the intruders, he said, but the exact nature of their relationship is unclear.

The men and woman fled from the home and then forced a motorist, who was applying her makeup, out of her car at gunpoint, police said. They then ditched the car and took off in another vehicle. Police have not yet said whether the four people stole the second vehicle or if it was one they owned.

Police have not released much information about the intruders other than they are all in their 20s.

More information will be provided as it becomes available.
