OGDEN — There are plenty of movies and television shows parents don’t want their children to see on the Internet, but a new company helps diminish that problem.

StoryBox, an online, movie streaming service, offers about 1,600 family-friendly movie and television titles for $4.99 a month.

StoryBox is currently based in Connecticut, but it will move to the Ogden area early next year.

Noah Sunday and his brother Brigham started the business as a way to share their passion for family entertainment, an integral part of their childhood.

“My dad had an awesome movie collection that was great and brought us together as a family,” Noah Sunday said. “They shaped who we are and brought us closer.”

Although Netflix is a popular company, the Sunday brothers consider their website different because of the content they offer, Sunday said.

StoryBox offers exclusively family-friendly content, so parents don’t have to set filters for their children.

“We discover the best entertainment out there and bring it to this one platform we’ve recreated,” Sunday said. “It’s all in one easy-to-find, sort-through place.”

Some of StoryBox’s most popular titles include “Franklin,” “Savannah Smiles,” “McLINTOCK!” “Christmas Oranges” and “The Letter Writer.”

As a small startup company, StoryBox is looking to add more content, and the Sunday brothers are working on filming a StoryBox original series that will be filmed in the Ogden area.

“We’re hoping to get filmmakers involved in wanting to create entertainment that’s appropriate for the whole family for them to put their content on our site,” Sunday said. “Our top priority is always going to be the family and creating good entertainment for them.”

StoryBox is available online, on the iPod and the iPad, and will soon be available on a Roku channel.

A free seven-day trial is available with no credit card number required.

"We encourage people to come behind us," Sunday said. "The more people we get joining our cause and get working with what we believe in, it becomes easier to create and find good family entertainment."
