WASHINGTON, D.C. — Nearly four dozen World War II veterans from Utah landed in Washington, D.C., Thursday evening. For many, the trip to see the memorials built in their honor is their first time to see them.
Most of the veterans are in their 90s. That's one reason the Utah Honor Flight presented by KSL is so important right now.
