WEST VALLEY CITY — A 41-year-old South Jordan man has died after police say he was stabbed during a family fight in West Valley City. The family member who allegedly stabbed the man was taken into custody, police said.
The fight began Saturday in the driveway of the family member's home, 3216 S. 2040 West, according to West Valley City police. It started as an argument over "family issues" and escalated when it moved inside the home, police said.
The family member told police he stabbed the victim when the victim "came after him."
The injured man was taken to a nearby hospital where he died of his injury, police said. The family member was taken into police custody for questioning.
Neither of the men involved was identified by police Saturday evening.
